Far Cry 3

'Island Surival Guide' video sells me on Far Cry 3

Much of what I've seen from Far Cry 3 has been centered around either lots of people being violently killed, the concept of insanity, or both. Which is fine, though the open-ended locales have always been what pulled me into the series (and presumably many of you, too). It's nice to see a trailer that heavily focuses on that aspect of the game.

If you were feeling optimistic about Far Cry 3, but not overly so, this video might help. Hang gliding is back! As are those wonderful animations in which your character fixes their body in first-person. Despite having a sizable amount of time to sit on the decision -- this game won't be available until early December -- I'm finally ready to say, "Yes. I will likely buy that."
