Activision has just hit our inbox with word that Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 will be getting another character by way of downloadable content.

Psylocke, who Activision refer to as a "hottie mutant superheroine," has the powers of telepathy and telekinesis, and can use her "Psi-Knife" and psychic katana to beat up baddies. Oh, and she's hot, apparently.

The DLC will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only. If you like your superheroines hot and psychic, this one's for you, folks. If not, might we recommend Carnage instead?

Wii version was PURE SHIT.

Hopefully Activisions next marvel wii game won't be made my lazy ass developers.

It looked like a PS1 game, and doesn't even support online....and obviously not DLC

This game was so disappointing. I wish Raven had done this instead of abandoning the franchise to do the ok Wolverine game. Oh well. At least we got Batman Arkham Asylum to fill the good super hero game quota this year.

Wow. I remember when Psylocke used to look hot in video games.

Psylocke is one of my favorite Marvel characters, and her absence was one of the many reasons why I haven't bought this game. Let me know when it's $20.

I find it hilarious that 360 peeps have to pay for this when the Wii gets it free.

The wii version doesn't support DLC, though other games support it like tiger woods.

If you brought the wii version of wolverine, that's your fault for being stupid and buying the toned down, kid friendly version and not the full on god of war style action and blood bath fest that was on 360 and ps3.

You know I went on their forum and gave them a good cussing a month or two back before the DLC came out. Since I already knew they were going to do this. I think it's pretty lame. They let it slip when they accidentally released Juggernaut for purchase, but put the patch file under the price tag. So somewhere down the line you'll see Juggs up there too. Think he cost a dollar something, so the rest of these probably run about the same.

@ AdamantiumHip I'm glad you enjoyed the game and movie. I happen to disagree. It's preference, not an issue of right or wrong.

AHHHHH MY EYES!!!! THEY BURN!!!!! WTF IS THIS CRAP!?!!? Don't ruin my hottest wet marvel dream girl like that. Jesus.

Im sorry need to fix my eye sight.

ugh little better...

better...

I can see again!

This game I suggest gets couple of new art directors that can help it style it better. Marvel is a 5 friggin billion dollar company, not a indy game group. Indy games look better than shit SH!T!

so they break a bunch of stuff that was fun about the first game to squeeze it into the civil war. just so they can fill the DLC with character that not only weren't IN the civil war but were DEAD during the civil war.

FFS, you can't just pick and choose when you're "comic acurate" either be or don't be. esspecially when it fucks up the game when you do

and being able to change your team from anywhere was stupid. NYEAAAAAAAH

Marevl fanboys running rampant in this comment section. Oh well, I don't see them all too often, so it gives me something fresh to chuckle at.

@Michael McGreish
"FFS, you can't just pick and choose when you're "comic acurate" either be or don't be. "

Sure they can. They own the rights to do what they please.

@ AdamantiumHip
"wolverine was an AWESOME game. ''ok'' my ass."

Wow, this guy literally has a part of Wolverine in his name.. Probably not a Marvel fanboy. Anyway Xmen origins: Wolverine really was just OK. It was a repetitive action game, so it is what it is. But, when you see the quality of, say, Batman: AA you begin to realize just how good a video game adaptation can be when given a little care.

Honestly, anyone who thinks wolverine is ''ok'' is wrong. Period.

Wolverine isn't a coward like batman. He won't lock up Joker for him to get out and kill again. Know what wolverine does to bad guys? Helocopter rotor, meet bad guy head. No pansy worrying about mass murdering villains here.

It's god of war with wolverine and even more blood and gore. If you can't dig that, go take up stamp collecting or something. Good to see though that some people have jumped on the batman wagon since that overrated movie with heath ledger though.

I'm going to save Activision the trouble:
The DLC pack will be 5 characters: Carnage, Psylocke, Blade, Cyclops, and The Sentry. Psylocke, Blade, and Cyclops are on the Wii/PS2/PSP versions, The Sentry is on the DS version, and Carnage is just a palette swap of Venom.

It's such BS Activision is charging for content given away for free on versions of the game that can't support DLC.

For the record, Carnage isn't just a Venom palette swap. He has his voice talent, move set, fusions, and walking animation. If you watch his trailer or read the developer interviews you'll see what I mean.

But you're probably right about the others. I don't see why people are surprised or upset about it though. Unique characters for each platform is a sales tactic that goes way back. I'm glad that now they can release them as add-on content -- it puts the special characters into the same package and it's cheaper than buying two copies of the same game.

If the complaint is that they could easily have included this content in the original release of the game but instead they held out so they could make more money, I don't know what to say besides, "DUH!"

Oh, and I can't decide which is worse -- that Activision is plastering the release announcement with the word "hottie," or that people are disappointed by the release because they think this version of the character *isn't* hot. I play as the characters I think are the most fun or work the best, not because I wish I could bone them. But maybe that's just me.
