'Grim Reaper's Sprint' Perk wins design a Perk for Fallout 3 contest photo

Today, Bethesda have announced the winner of the "Fallout 10th Anniversary Contest," where they asked fans to design a Perk for Fallout 3.

Marc-André Deslongchamps is the lucky winner with his "Grim Reaper's Sprint" Perk, which will restore all action points whenever an opponent is killed. The Perk will appear in Fallout 3 when it's released next Fall. Bethesda received 17,000 entries, and the winner (and the 11 runners up) were chosen based on originality and their names. Anything with "Beserk" in it was immediately cut, and for every Perk that had the word "Destructoid" in it, Bethsesda placed one bag of flaming poop our porch.

If you're interested in seeing what people who were more clever than you were came up with, check out the winners at the official Fallout site.

That sounds broken and lame. Is the point of that perk to make the game as easy as possible? A lot of them are pretty weak actually. Clumsy Mother is awesome though.

I still think my charisma mod of "Wasteland Manliness" was better than half those. I wish I still had the description.

Holy shit Grim Reaper is easily one of the best 80's power metal bands EVER to grace the face of the Earth!

Nobody is as cool as Steve Grimmet.

Even though this article has nothng to do with them, thanks for posting that pic. Steve looks badass in that pic. Nick, you've made my day!

That actually sounds like a great perk. Too bad I'm just going to select Kama Sutra Master.

I guess they didn't care for my Dual-Wielding Perk, lulz.

Wow a perk to make the game easier for the console kiddies, amazing. The stalker clone they're making looks crappier with every news bit that comes out.

Hmm, methinks I smell a PC elitist asshole somewhere nearby...

Sounds like a sweet perk, as long as it's not overused.

Hahaha, I like the Crazy Eye perk, because it's ridiculous and provides a benefit.

Weren't the point of the original perks along the "you get an advantage but you lose something in return" line. Well aside from the one that made everyone die in very graphic ways. That was a must have.

Nah, those are traits, not perks.

This is almost as awful as a perk making every shot have 99% chance of hitting with a 98% chance of being a critical. Well maybe not quite that bad, but still incredibly lame. I'm thinking bethsda does not actually get the fallout thing.

Unless the enemies in this game are a hell of a lot tougher than the last two games, this perk is waaaaay imba. If those AP could only be used for movement, then it'd be pretty balanced, but combined with the sniper perk and a good weapon, you could pretty easily kill every enemy in the first turn. All of the runner ups are a lot better, in my opinion.

AP so far are not as important than in the previous Fallouts. Basically, this perk should help people do more called shots.

What would the Destructoid perk have been, growing a robot cock?

Oh lol I love Crazy Eye. It has the proper Fallout spirit! Also I think most of the runner ups are to be seen as user mods, definitely.
