'Frelevant' to your interests: Penny Arcade launches PATV photo

Not content with dominating videogame-related web comics and then "reality tv" with Penny Arcade: The Series, the folks at Penny Arcade have launched PATV. Yes, as in "Penny Arcade Television," just in case you're having trouble with letters.

Launched today Launched such a long time ago that I was a fool for originally thinking that it launched today (via a press release dated December 29, 2009), the initial programming includes the aforementioned Penny Arcade: The Series, along with The 4th Panel (which looks at the Penny Arcade creative process), and Blamimations with Kris & Scott. The latter is a new series of original animated shorts by Kris Straub of chainsawsuit.com and Scott Kurtz of PVPonline.com; new episodes will be added monthly.

As for future content, Penny Arcade's Robert Khoo explains they'll be adding more as time goes on, so watch your asses!

“We’ll occasionally pick up more shows we think are funny, relevant, or a combination of the two, which we're calling frelevant,” said Khoo, making up a word. “These three are just the beginning.  Hold on to your hats.”

Awesome, because I didn't have plenty of other awesome things to occupy our time on the Internet. Now my cats will never get fed.

Launched today?

Or, a month ago.

A documentary style series on Penny Arcade? Wow, Conceited. The animated shorts are barely animated. It's nice that they're offering it for free though.

I'm honestly not trying to be a dick or anything, but how did you come to the conclusion that it was launched today?

I mean, if I had to guess I'd say someone else sent it in as a source or you found it from another website reporting month-old news.

Just change it to "launched earlier this month" and everyone will be appeased.

I've update the story to reflect how stupid I am. Clearly.

I saw the first and second episodes and they weren't bad, it's just a bit much for a web comic. Yeah it's cool that you started your own business, but why not go more into the process that it takes to get off the ground instead of busting into idiosyncratic humor?

News to me.
Also, speaking of trouble with reading, the logo's arial makes it look like PAY TV.

Probably cause what they did is a fluke that probably can't be replicated with any sort of plan. I doubt any random webcomic would take off to become something like PA.

This coming from some one who doesn't even really get into everything they do.

I've watched everything on PATV since it's release and so far so good. I really enjoyed the animated short they put up, can't wait to see more of those.
