Sorry if I come off as a selfish dick,but a sequel to one of my favorite action games of all time is in development.That's all I care about.Bayonetta 2 is a day one purchase for me.

Sequel to game you like comes out on a system you don't like, if your default reaction is kill yourself you probably should, your wasting oxygen some intelligent person could be using. I can understand being pissed but damn that's the deep end.

That being said, I was one of those who were understandably pissed about the exclusivity. I absolutely LOVE the first game, and it doesn't really make sense to make a SEQUEL exclusive to a Nintendo system, when the original never graced the Wii.
But, if Platinum thinks this is where they should make it, I'm not going to argue; they're an excellent developer with a proven track record of awesome games. Does it change my mind about the Wii U? Guess I'll just have to see how this pans out. I mean, I still think the DS/3DS/Wii are mainly a waste of resources with their extra screens, touch screens, motion controls, and other features that 99% of games DON'T need and are just as good if not better without, but I still caved and bought a DS (twice since my first one broke) for a few standout games.
Perhaps the WiiU will follow that same path. I still think Bayonetta 2 is going to sell HORRIBLY now, though.

If Bayonetta 2 were Wii exclusive... or if the Wii U had SOMETHING compelling outside of Bayonetta 2... there would be less flack over this.

please don't mistaken these retards with Bayonetta fans. they never were ones if they are pissed over the fact that Nintendo brought back from the dead Bayonetta 2 which was cancelled by Sega less than 6 months ago. and frankly as a fan of Bayonetta i DO NOT appreciate the fact that i'm being associated with those people.
I have no issue with Nintendo products, I simply don't have enough of an incentive to own Nintendo consoles. Most of the games are just not for me. Sure Bayonetta 2 adds some incentive, but not enough to buy a whole console.
I'll suck it up in the meantime and see if we have another "Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma" thing going on or see if I find a need for a WiiU outside of this game.

@ Shino. Sorry man, you're dead wrong. If Bayonetta 2 were Wii exclusive it would perhaps be far worse. Have you seen how Sony and MS fanboys react? It would be a steady stream of of diarrhea streaming across all forums and sites, occasionally bubbling up into other more reasonable sites.

All this "copy and paste quotes from pissed off gamers" crap is really doing --specially this late in a generation absolutely STUFFED with this behavior-- is showing us how little you guys seem to have on your plate over the last few months.

The Wii U and games like "Bayonetta 2" is Nintendo's way of saying that their two-decade reign of being mostly family-friendly is ending in order to appeal to a broader base. This is a good thing.

Bayonetta was my favourite game in recent years by a long stretch. The fact that it's going to have a sequel is amazing. This is fantastic news.
