'Bout time: Demigod demo now up for download photo

A little late to the party, but we will most certainly take it. Stardock and Gas Powered Games' Demigod is now playable in demo form, which is fantastic news for anyone who wants to see how well the action/strategy game can run on their computer before taking the plunge.

The demo contains access to all four multiplayer modes, four of the demigods (Regulus, Rook, Sedna and Lord Erebus), and a single map, Cataract. This may not sound like much, but believe me when I say it's more than enough to let you know if Demigod is your cup of tea or not.

For those who have played the game, who's your demigod of choice? I tend to go with Regulus more often than not.

I tested out everyone of them, and that Poison Beast thing was the best I played. One of his skills is Frenzy, which increases weapon damage between a boatload and a fuckton depending on the level. And his Poison Spit attack can be used on structures, so he is capable as a both a Hero and Tower destroyer.

Regulus? You don't say? Considering more often than not I'm going up against teams of all Regulus, I'm not surprised. I usually play Erebus or the Unclean.

Ah demigod. Definitely worth it, and hopefully the demo will bring more people into the community. Can never have too many people playing.

Unclean Beast is great, until you go up against a team with a Sedna. Then he's useless. Unless you forgo Spit in favor of his other abilities, but then she could drop minions and focus on tanking...

I love Demigod because the balance level is really outstanding. Pretty much every Demigod can be countered by another one, it just depends on your build and how smart you are.

I usually bounce between Sedna and Torchbearer, occasionally playing some Oak or Rook for kicks.

I play Rook. I'm always the melee/barbarian/knight guy.

I love Regulus since he can really lay down some ranged damage as you progress and snipe the hell out of enemy demis, but I do have a tendency to go for Rook because he's a a freaking walking tower of death.

Unclean Beast is amazing, and fun to play. Regulus (or the oh so common team of them) are kinda cheap when played well. I haven't played in a while, did they fix the issues online or will it stay a lan only game? And didn't they mention updates were going to come out with additional demigods to play?

How could you pass up making a "Demogod" pun?

Love me some Torchbearer, pure fire. While I have to admit I can have some serious fun when I go ice, fire is just too much rape to pass up on.

Now they release a demo? Well anyways, I already bought the game some time ago, and it's fun, although balance issues needs to be addressed for some little stuff. Regulus is kinda cheap in my view.
