nice, I'm gonna be playing tonight. me and my friends bought the 4 pack last(?) weekend for $60. Might even have some good ol' psuedo-LAN party goodness.
It can get very difficult, very quickly. My friends and I had to turn it down to Easy mode just to get through the second half. The hordes never let up!
The game mode is quite difficult, I was playing with some randoms, and we had to restart a few times to get through on advanced. It pretty much came down to when the AI director wanted to give us footlockers full of pills.
I like the idea of mutations, but why are they all for making things harder on the Survivors? Things are already stacked in favor of the Infected in L4D2.
Sigh...my computer's still broken. I hope I can get it fixed before the next Mutation hits.

I'm not joking. It seems to me every time I get put into a game with two well-matched teams, nobody ever makes it to the safe house. And that's not to mention the finales.
I get that the new scoring system makes it so that it's about how far you get rather than whether or not your team makes it to the end, but it's just rough how most of the crescendo events are no longer about fortifying a position, AND Special Infected take twice as many bullets to kill than in the first game. I beat all four campaigns in L4D1 on Expert, but I can't even get close to beating any of the L4D2 campaigns on that difficulty setting.
So I reiterate: the game does not need to be made more difficult for the Survivors.

I disagree with Dexter, mainly because he is wrong.
Bleed Out is great fun, almost every map is a challenge now, with the additional constant onslaught of horde at all times.

I'm in the same situation, I haven't finished any expert L4D2 campaigns, but I've got all of the L4D1 experts. However, this is mutation for campaigns only, it's just more gameplay for those who HAVE completed expert realism on all maps with one arm tied behind their backs. It's not a perma-change of the regular campaigns, so I think it's great. I've played through bleedout on normal and we survived without too much of a problem and there's no black/white so you can't die through repeated downs. Like Mueti said, the constant horde is awesome!
