'10 or so' PS3 motion games reported for this year photo

According to a Nikkei report, we can expect "around 10 or so games" this year that will utilize Sony's yet-to-be-named, delayed-until-fall motion controller.

The report states that among those 10 titles will be sports games and pet raising titles. The later is likely an updated version of EyePet (which released in Europe last year, but had its North American release delayed) that utilizes the controller. When I asked if it would support the motion controller during a demo late last year, a Sony rep got uncomfortable before saying, "Maybe."

This is good news for those looking to wave their arms in front of their PlayStation 3 later this year. We've already written up our "grandma throws PlayStation Arc/Orb/Gem through television" stories now.

Better put a strap on that thing.

Otherwise it might fly right into someone's eye.

If you're looking for actual mature content in video games, you're wasting your time.

If anyone at Sony knows what they're doing they'll launch with PS3 Play, bundling a Sexaxis Motion Controller with a disc of dildo-based minigames.

In a perfect world, that would happen. It would also include rubbers so you could keep your Arc clean.

I loves my Eyepet - one of the few good things to come of living in the UK!

Will be cool when i can sack off the controller and use the Arc/Gem though.

On one hand, this is the company that game us EyeToy Play. On the other hand, this is the game company that brought us Eye of Judgment, Kinetic, and Antigrav.

I don't trust it, but they've certainly showed more understanding of compelling gimmicks than Microsoft. Damn, I'm torn.

This is a GOOD thing. 3 reasons:

1) Less games being made = less garbage out in the market

2) Less garbage out = less developer interest/production

3) Less time spent w/ waggle = more time spent making real/great games
